Mercedes Benz 7G tronic
Hi everyone,

Ive got some questions about the 7G.
(as soon as i get vediamo, i ll post my version for the exel file)
As you know, when you choose to manually change your "gear", you can only choose between 1-2-3-4-5-6-D . Is it possible, via coding or any other way, to have 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-D? And is it possible to really lock a gear in manual ?

You should invest a little more time into your general knowledge about Mercedes cars.

Now back to your questions:
The m-modus in Mercedes transmissions lock the gear. This is why many people want to have activated/coded the m modes.
The shifting downwards in c or s just locks it for a short time period.

It's always 1-2-3-4-5-6-D why do you want to have the 7 as well? If you ride with the right speed and rpm D corresponds to gear 7.

1-2-3-4-5-6-7-D -Old frimware and 1-2-3-4-5-6-D it is New frimware
You must to recovery your flash file to the old one

My car is from 2013 and here s why i would like to real lock gear or having the 7th gear in M-mode.
Sometimes, the 7th gear is not engaged and sometimes it is. it depends on how you drive etc climbing a hill .... BUT sometimes, don't why (same road for my comparison) it takes several seconds...specially if i just overtook someone with quick downgrade.
Sometimes, an example , the fifth gear ,m-mode is engaged , If I accelerate thoroughly (right word) the gearbox switches in 3rd gear(D-mode), and i dont want that, just the best acceleration in 5th gear...
I know, i m a weird guy maybe...but that's what i want....What do you think guys?

It's...a feeling you know....You are driving a there is false flat road (not sure) and in something like 3seconds the car goes to 7 gear to 6 and then 7 again...
Or you leave a small town, want to accelerate but not necessarily with a downshift, you understand what i mean....
It s a small "wish"...but i would like it to be true

This downshift during acceleration is there not because transmission is bored. When is needed it´s better for transmission downshift and then accelerate like accelerate in higher speed and suffer from heavy load.

Ok i know, but at 1600rpm i have full torque...so why downshift to the 6th gear at 1900-2000 rpm?
I see that my idea makes no one happy here ;o)
