Hy guys ..crazy story..customer tow to me this car with lot of wiring problems.but mayor problem is no start condition..it refuse to start when somebody discard autotransmision and put manual on it..I check all wiring repair few wires and now I can conect on engine..all parameters are fine exept engine rpm..there is no sign of this..always 0..car cranks immo is OK..so I check cranshaft sensor is fine too about 600-700ohm..but no signal on him when cranking..I dont know what trigering this sensor..is there some notches on flywhell or some aditional part bolted on flywheell...seems to me they forget something when bolted this manual transmision...
does anybody know are flywheel same for auto and manual trany??

I try to search google for pictures of 210 flywheel but none of them are clear enought to see what is trigering wheel for freaking rpm sensor..so any help what you can get please trow it here..

Hi friend

I had the same issue
Does red and green blink on mirror?
Does glow plug goes on and off after 2 sec when you turn ignition?

My car stopped and couldn't start at all but engine cranked
Sometimes car started perfect but other times car didn't start at all, only engine crank
In my case it was K40 relay, I resoldered it and no more problems
Sometimes also the speed went to 0km/h while moving
DTC was "ABS speed sensor" and it was K40 relay faulty

I also had problems with brake pedal switch, hand brake and ABS light on

After K40 relay fix and change brake switch no more problems
I even remapped car to more power and OK

When you say flywheel you mean the clutch?
They are not the same
I have 1 E290 TD auto and 1 E290 TD manual
The manual is running and auto is only for parts
I swapped the engine from auto to manual gearbox and found that the problem of my old engine was the clutch "bimassa" so I had to buy one anyway

Note that both of the cars had the same problem on K40 relay
Sometimes E290 TD auto gearbox didn't start too duo K40

Yes I know for K40 he is main suspect for lot of trouble on 210 chasis,that is reason why I always have one spare..but thats NOT a problem here..in live data on diagnostic there is NO engine RPM parameter..like engine stand still even starter spins fine and I see belts are runing..

I simply dont know who triger the rpm sensor? is there and special plate bolted on flywhel or what ??

red/green on rear view miror is indication that you have some malfunction on immo system..thats not my case..only when I try to start without transponder in keyshell only then thare is red/green alternativly...so immo is not fault in this case..simply dont have any pulse from RPM sensor

Nope ..there is NO dtc..
only suspect is in actual values engine RPM ZERO when cranking..
pure mechanical problem with missing teth on flywhell
