2001 Buick Century. Odometer Blank

1
2001 Buick Century. Odometer and PRND321 were not working. I did usual repair of re-soldering parts.
but now only PRND321 is lighting up, and odometer is still blank

Resolder the SMD (Surface Mount Device) resistors also. You need a stereoscopic microscope to see the microscopic cracks that develop.

If you don't have a microscope just re-flow the solder on all large SMD resistors on the board. The resistors are flat and rectangular with numbers on top.

If this is helpful. don't forget a "THANKS" and +1 "REPUTATION".
IF THIS WAS HELPFUL, PLEASE "THANK" AND "REPUTATION" - THANK YOU

thank you.

I reflowed all smd resistors and lc's, even went thru entire board with hot air, still nothing.

maybe bad eeprom ?
can someone share eeprom dump for 2001 buick century ?

if EEPROM is bad gauges will not work. If you have vehicle, plug in and test.

Reflow all display connections and specially the round brown power resistors (in the upper right area of the circuit board) with soldering iron, not hot air. Also look carefully where the (brown) power resistors are located. Sometimes one (or more)of the resistors fall off. Look for the contact pads with no resistor. There should be 4, 150 ohm resistors.

Is the PRND123 display nice and bright?

I replaced 4 of those 150 ohm resistors, PRND321 is nice and bright but odometer totally blank

In GM 03-06 trucks if eeprom is bad the odometer will show "odometer error" , so I was thinking maybe in this Buick if eeprom is bad the odometer value is not showing up
