Oil level is good. PCV was definitely bad but I changed those out first thing and checked oil level multiple times.

I got the cam position sensors replaced. Ran it for couple hours and so far so good. Looks like it was the damn cam position sensors. Stupid design in my opinion, should at least throw codes when the read cam position is jumping. I'll run it again tomorrow, then test drive it and I'll update the post again.

Ok so definitely no more stall issue but now I'm getting a check engine. Cam crank correlation bank1 sensor B. Looks like the chain is stretched so I guess the engine comes down to get that fixed. Whatever, at this point I'm just glad it's not stalling anymore.

Hello friend, I need your help. I have the same problem with a 2008 Acadia 3.6, it suddenly turns off. I have already checked with the ocilloscope and the problem is that it suddenly starts to throw double injection pulses and sometimes one pulse is mounted on top of another. This happens a few milliseconds before the engine turns off. I thought it was a problem with the engine ECU and I replaced it, but surprise, the problem still persists. If you could help me, I would appreciate it.

Hey, just replace the timing system. I did timing chains, tensioners, guides. Fixed all my issues. The chain was stretched out and causing wrong cam position reading, which was causing wrong injection & firing times. If the car starts back up right away or after cranking couple seconds, I would just drop the engine and get the timing done.

Thanks for your help, it seems that this customer has already replaced the timing kit at another workshop, so I'll talk to him to see if he authorizes uncovering the engine.
