722.9 doesn't move after TCU replacement
#1
Mercedes Benz
Hi, I have a problem with an 722.9 TCU ... I replaced the TCU with an virginized one and supposedly coded with the VIN number. I installed into the transmission, and with the Star Diagnosis I proceeded to personalized and activited, but after that the car doesnt move, just move while I performing range selector teach-in. I believe the transport protection does not remove properly, but in DAS I can see transport protection realeased, activated, personalized and enabled all in YES.

I dont know what to do.Sweating
If anyone knows what is the problem I appreciate your answers

Thanks

You need to go online and do SCN. Or transfer the SCN to other one.

You need proper programming and SCN coding.

We had one of new unprogrammed units fitted into 2007 S500 , but car was driveable in 2nd forward and reverse(limp mode). After programming with proper part# and manually entering SCN string(did this back in 2012) , full functionality returned.
Local dealers in Kansas city and Sarasota could not do this, but God blessed and we did it.
Car should move regardless of programmed or unprogrammed TCU (I think) , maybe won't shift , but should move.

in DAS go to the actual values, torque converter, if a gear changes but switches only to N and P - is badly programmed, if the gear changes to D, but does not go - the torque converter is broken.
