Hi guys,
I’m currently starting to get into airbag crash data repair and trying to understand which tool setup would be the most reasonable starting point. I’ve gone through several threads in this section about crash reset tools, but I’m still evaluating which solutions would best fit my intended workflow.
I mainly work with European vehicles, particularly Stellantis brands (Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Peugeot, Citroen, Opel), VAG group (Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat), BMW, Mercedes and Renault. Occasionally I also deal with Toyota, Nissan, Ford and Hyundai/Kia.
This would be my first practical approach to airbag crash data repair, so I’m looking for tools that are reliable and offer good module coverage without requiring extensive soldering work. Ideally, I would prefer a bench-first workflow.
From what I’ve seen across different threads, some users recommend:
- OBDSTAR P50
- Diagcar AirBag Service FULL PACK
- CGDI CG70
However, I’m still unsure how these tools compare regarding coverage on modern EU vehicles, usability for someone approaching this field, and the quality of long-term support and updates.
I’m trying to understand which solution would provide the most practical and reliable workflow across the vehicles mentioned.
Any feedback, comparisons, or real-world experience with these tools would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
