Consolidate all data files for ISTA+ programming

1
Hi there,
I have installed

BMW Standard Tools for coding E-series
ISTA+ for diagnosis and want to use it for programming in the future
ISTA/P for programming, already flashed a couple of cars with it
E-SYS
Old Rheingold for setting EGR value

So i created a C:\DATA\psdzdata folder and put my PSdZ data in it. With mklink i redirected

C:\RHEINGOLD\PSdZ\data\psdzdata
C:\RHEINGOLD_EGR\PSdZ\data\psdzdata

to the C:\DATA\psdzdata folder. In E-SYS i set this folder as the data folder. This works fine.

Now i would also like to redirect C:\ISTA-P\BMW\services\ecudata\psdzdata to said folder, but i have read somewhere that ISTA-P is no longer maintained and that PSdZ data for ISTA+ has a different structure.

Then there are SDP, BLP and PSdZData files to download. Is BLP and PSdZData the same, or are these files all different and not compatible with each other?

I googled a lot but now i am a little confused. In my understanding i should have created the following structure.

C:\PSdZ\data_swi <-- SDP files go here?
C:\PSdZ\data\psdzdata <-- BLP or PSdZData files go here?

Redirect C:\RHEINGOLD\PSdZ\data\psdzdata to C:\PSdZ\data\psdzdata
Redirect C:\RHEINGOLD\PSdZ\data_swi to C:\PSdZ\data_swi
Redirect C:\ISTA-P\BMW\services\ecudata\psdzdata to C:\PSdZ\data\psdzdata (compatible with newest psdzdata?)
Set E-SYS to use C:\PSdZ\data_swi or C:\PSdZ\data\psdzdata?

Well as you see i am a little confused.

Next thing is to set up ISTA+ so it can be used for programming. Which registry or .config values have to be set and where do i have to put SDP, BLP, PSDZDaten?

Hi, I am also interested in this. Just a few days ago I get a message, while trying flashing a F-Model, which says it's only possible to flash the Car with ISTA+ . So my plan is to configure ISTA+ for flashing. Maybe some of the specialist here are so glad to help us in this case  049 Big Grin 653

Hey Guys.

ISTA D has been replaced with ISTA+ recently.
ISTA+ Can does the usual Diagnostic like ISTA D on both E,F,G,I Series BMW, however it now programs F,G,H,I Series and Replaces ISTA-P for those models.
ISTA-P Is what you use when programming E-Series Models.

Eventually BMW will run only ISTA+ on one platform. ISTA P will no longer be updated as far as Im aware.

So you need to install ISTA+ & ISTA P.
I take it you want to share the DATA files between ISTA+ and E-SYS to save having all data files installed twice?

I have attached a text files  that show how I did it on my system and a program I used to create the links easily.
You have to be careful as certain folders files are changed by each program differently so it also explains how to overcome this.

Please Rate and Thanks & I will PM pass.

Good luck

Bonne chance
