DTC P049D 1.6 mokka diesel 2016

Hi problem with 2016 Vauxhall Mokka 1.6 diesel egr system
Got fault code P0401 egr insufficient flow detected ( renewed egr valve + egr cooler) which was blocked
Now after approx 20 miles eng fault light on code P040D 00 set  egr position not learned
I have tried various diagnostic tools none of them has any programming or learing available for egr valve
Has any body got fix for this fault

Check valve connector, try to run egr test at removed only connected egr and look if it opens and closes correctly.
Which engine code do you have? B16DTH?

Thanks for reply,do you mean power up egr valve with plug disconected to check valve is moving  ok ?
I have checked the connectot plug looks clean 


Engine is B16DTH AS YOU HAVE STATED 
Would it be possible to send me wiring diagram, to check out wiring ,also at Engine ecu
