End of era automotive new cars powered gasoline and fuel in 2035, in Euro area

Amazing and dramatic day: new Law is voted today at Euro Parlement, "Fit for 55" (not for AMG,   ).

Stop sell in Europe new cars, motor fuel or gasoline, in 2035 year.

till 2035 are long,long time
so think that dead line wil be extended
as electric cars are not so environment friendly
just my thought

considering current speed of development, a lot will change before 2035. a LOT.

And to think that we are still importing cars 2009 to our country...

they might want to stop selling new ICE cars and switch to electric, but we are not ready for that.
1.we don't have the technological advancements nor the infrastructure to switch, even gradually, 10 years ain't enough. and 2 simply because big greedy companies wont allow it if they don't get their share. money talks (no pun intended, or maybe..)

Look at the commercial/commerce/ business around selling petroleum! Do you want to tell the bigshots used to making billions in a day would let it just go..... Just like that???? Huh! That law is specific against (fossil fuels) and rather not synthetic&/artificial diesel or petrol!
