Erase ECU data

Is it possible to erase ecu data and flash it like brand new, it is from a Chevrolet Captiva 2.2L Diesel, ECU Part number is GM 96951477 / Opel 4802766. The older ecu is broken and i am plannignto buy used and reprogram it.

If its possible, how?

pin code and set to FFFF (four numbers)

you can use ic universal programmer but its not for beginner.place eeprom ic to compatible socket then read read and save file and transfer to blank ic. press reps if this one help
