Hi there!
I modified a Cisco console cable and I changed the order in RJ45 connector pins
Initially it looks cable
This is the original jack image
This is the image with pins rearrange following scheme

Hello friends,

My connector works perfect now, but it hasn't been easy.
From my experience, two things to say :

1) I had to use a cable with parallel wires, ISDN style, not a LAN cable
The LAN usual cable with crossed pairs inside didn't work, even with the right pinout

2) I quickly understand that there is a lot of misundestanding about the pin numbering of the DB9 plug, but it's not evident at first sight. There is a lot of mismatch on internet about male and female confusion, as well as about rear and front pin numbering

It had been a real challenge for me to fix it but now it works perfectly

Please click on 'thanks' if I have helped you !

Wow!, but how did you rearrange the cables inside the connector? Isn't it injection moulded..?

o.k., made myself a cable from one shipped with an older router. The cable wasn't shielded. If you take the colors from the patch cable and solder it to the DB9 connector as shown enclosed, this should work...
I tested it and worked fine. Also I tested the pin layout with the rest of the RJ45 connector inserted in the Tech2-adapter as shown, and confirmed the pin layout.
