Ghg 17 Emulator

Hi everyone, so I purchased ghg 17 emulator and do have derate codes on truck. Also purchased the OTR Performance tool to reset all derate codes before installing emulator. Problem is derate codes still showing after resetting, says I must drive it and will clear after so many miles. Am I ok to install emulator? Or must I have ecm flashed back to stock then install emulator? Dont want to ruin my emulator so want to do it right first time. What should I do?

you spent like $1100 on emulator and another $700 on OTR tool ( roughly ) right ?

What you should have done is let proffesional flash it remote over diagnostic plug with only adapter needed from your side.

As simple as that and will even save you couple of hundreds $$$

$1189 for emulator and $420 for otr tool. I tried sending one time to someone who said they could do it, just got the run around and lost 1 week of revenue. Have had the same issue with different individuals here so decided to just tackle the issue myself. Would love to have done this remotely, would have over 2 weeks of revenue and time back. Who can do this remotely? Im ready for this to be solved lol.

All you need is Nexiq and Y-Cable (like for any 2018 up Paccar) or it's alternative

Ace hooked me up. No issues. Pm, nox, and temp sensors gotta stay hooked up. I have them zip tied in the frame rail with a straight pipe. Runs awesome.

OTR tool worked awesome. After all codes reset, took over 3 hrs for all codes to clear from dash after emulator installed. 200 miles in and everything is normal.

I think you did have the first sol for remote thru diag port but youre not the only one anymore   also CAN3 to CAN1 Cable works too and is much cheaper than  Y CABLE & you can always just rewire the diag port it doesnt take long at all
