I know cummins sells a kit for the school busses to swap them but ether way there should be a solution to this problem for now ,  as for the 6.7 it is a proven good engine but very expensive to repair and parts are getting harder to get in Canada anyway , we had a few failures this year grid heater stud in piston 6 hp pump cracked fuel rails cracks few ecm failures
Metal in injectors walking cam gear causing cam and crank out of sync ecm harness problems
Job security I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️
You dont need the kit … harness takes about 1hr to modify if you order the right drc conector
Maybe you are right foe cummi s problems… but once in shop 5-6 hrs usualy problem is diagnosed and found

Update on this truck

After putting all back together and starting rite from the being , I pulled 6 injectors out of my own personal shut truck and installed them in this truck and it ran 80 percent better 🤷🏻‍♂️
Throttle response was back load came down to 48 percent at idle may shunt truck has high hours so that would probably make sense

So I bought 6 new injectors and now truck is running at 32 percent load at idle but we no that
The front mount pto is adding 10 percent load so that makes sense

The very first thing we did was swapped injectors cause it felt like a fuel problem
The 6 test injectors that were giving to me apparently only had one hour of run time on them or so I was told we now know the test injectors were junk 😡 !!!! I don’t know how the original  injectors just decided to fail when we had care and control of this unit 🤷🏻‍♂️
What I’m thinking is they were on there last leg when the truck came in from them running it with all the (Diluted oil ) who know how Long they ran it like that for we know that under the valve cover was extremely clean So I think when we remove the injectors to reseal them
And introduced air in the oil and fuel side it probably took the little  life that they had left right out of them 🤷🏻‍♂️That all can think of I Dug through the garbage and found the original fuel filter there is very very tiny metal particles on the top of the filter  That system returns fuel to the filter housing before it goes to the tank I just don’t understand how the metal would be on the outside of the filter when you would think it would be on the inside if it’s unused fuel coming from the injectors

Thanks for everyone’s help on this
