JPRO 2024 DLA+ 2.0 Connection Issues

Hello!

I recently installed JPRO 2024 and trying to connect to a 2012 Ford 350. When testing the adapter in JPRO I get all green on the first CANBUS entry but when I try to actually connect to the vehicle it first tries to pull the VIN which fails, then I select the generic OBDII connection which tries to connected but then fails and says NO DATA and disconnects. I have verified the adapter is the correct part number for Ford's. I have installed the latest drivers for the adapter, I have not tried updating the firmware on the adapter though. I also have tried a 2016 version of JPRO and that didn't even allow me to do a test of the connection at all for some reason.

Has anyone had issues like this?

There are a couple of important things to remember about JPRO software.

You can connect to a Ford engine only with a JPRO DLA adapter. Also, JPRO 2016 will not connect to a 2017 Ford engine because the software checks the VIN year. In other words, an older JPRO version will not connect to an engine with a newer model-year VIN.
