Hello,
Im working on lamborgini huracan with 2 MED 17.1.1 engine computers. 1 of the 2 computers no longer communicates so I purchased a donor engine computer. When trying to code donor with Geko I get errors due to the vin mismatch. What is best solution in this case? Can I bench read the working orignal computer data and flash it to donor? Or does left and right computer contain different data?
Any help would be appreciated. I can get eeprom and flash dumps tomorrow.

Immodata is different between master and slave ECU.
Post/PM VIN and let's see what can be done.

clone it with PCMflash
You can not directly clone MED 17.1.1 , it has tuning protection so cloning 1 to 1 wont work.
Also as kuebk said , immo data is not the same on Master and Slave ECU's.
If original ECU can not be read in bench mode , making a clone onto another one it would be quite impossible.
Maybe adapting Online is a possibility or Immo OFF.

I tried learning immo over GRP but odis will not work because of vin missmatch since both engine computers actually seem to be damaged and I need to use 2 donor computers. Odis doesn't know what the correct vin is. Can I just change vin in the flash and eeprom?

Sure , you can change VIN in Eeprom.

You can change VIN in your new ecu, but this is complete useless. You need to understand how immodata is written to ecu. There is no simply generic login / seedkey or whatever, the procedure your new immodata is written is based on the stored immodata. This procedure does VAG use since nearly 20 years now.
The reason is you can trace the CAN, but only see crypted data, you will never see any plain data. So there is no possibility to make ecu "virgin", because the "key" for immodata is always the old immodata. So Odis look up to VIN from ecu and will calculate wrong data, based from data on server. Real virgin new ecu from VAG, Lambo, etc. does contain fazit ID which is stored on server instead of VIN. Btw if you want to adapt used ecu to your car you need to ask VAG or in this case Lambo before, then they will aknowlege, maybe. Adaption from used parts was blocked some years ago!
Maybe best or easiest solution is immo off and write VIN to ecu. Also even if you can read old ecu it will be most likely not possible to clone or furthermore calculate immodata for your new ecu because of SHE hardware...

OK so at this point I guess I can go immo off route but if I go this route will I be able to reprogram a new bcm2 module? I've purchased a brand new one from the dealer and this will have to be programmed with new keys. Will odis allow this if I change vin inside of the donor ecm1 and ecm2?
ECM1 alive but vin seems corrupted
ECM2 completely fried and blows fuse when plugged in.
TCM Fried no longer communicates
BCM2 communicates but seems corrupted
