Opel Astra K P0340

1
Hello everyone,
I have a 2019 Opel Astra K with a B16DTN Diesel engine and an ACDelco E98 ECU.

The issue I'm facing is that the engine cranks but doesn't start.

I consistently receive fault code P0340-00 for the Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit.
Even after clearing the code, it returns when I try to start the engine.

I've already replaced the camshaft sensor, but with the same issue.

I've checked the wiring, and everything seems to be in order:
1 = Positive
2 = Negative
3 = Signal

Now, I'm unsure whether the issue with the ECU, the engine timing chain, or if I should revisit the wiring and replace the sensor once again.

Additionally, I'm seeking recommendations for the best tools to check live data in Opel vehicles manufactured after 2016.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Need to replace timing chain because that one is bad. That is normal fault for that.

If you want diagnostic for Opel vehicles then GDS2 would be great choice.
I can provide wiring diagrams, parts number, technical service bulletins, part replacement procedures etc.. for Citroen/Opel. No pin code or key cut codes.

Thank you very much for your response.

If I remove the cylinder head cover, can I detect whether there is an issue with the timing chain?
