i agrree with all of this, there are too many on here taking advantage of this forum, dont introduce themselves, banned members coming back as new members and directly selling agin, scammers cheaters liars. if the members of the forum want this to change, come to me with enough members so i can go to webmaster so we can do our job.

Almost wonder if you wouldn't have a better quality forum if it was by invitation only or something along those lines.  I don't know if the process has changed since I joined but I seem to remember it took quiet some time before my user was approved.

i think the first steps are simple :

1)Webmaster give more opportunities to the other mod admins to have some more controll over the threads - delete spam posts and give warnings to users to every user who does not follow the rules - enforce the rules strictly .

2) update the website posting threads - user who creates a thread must be given options :Only postable and viewable to users with :
A) post thread : with no rep , posts , thanks , vip , contribution needed
b) post thread : minimum 10 rep needed or 50 thanks or 50 posts or contributor badge
c) custom choice to be added by the person creating the thread

if you do not have have any of the minimum posts or rep and you post in thread then your post created in the thread will not post successfully .

all old database users whom has not logged in for years and have very very low posts and threads to be removed .
all new users who become part of mhhauto must first go become helpful in the General Automotive Help & Discussions or hardware or anywhere else that is helpful

This is make it harder for chinese resellers to be useful if they only know software and not cars .

these are just some quick taughts

we will never stop those from leaking out software to other forums ... even from other forums software comes here
but the problem lies with people who get from someone free and they all go to selling page to make their money .

I am sorry that I seem not be online a long time ago. I don't know what happens are occured. With your suggestion, I also agree that it is fair with everyone.

I will be back and contribute the forum from now.

Some great ideas Guy’s but most of them require a lot of manpower 
and for the webmaster to allow the
moderators that amount of control.

I keep noticing the section titled 
MHH customers requests and discussions and password required.
I don’t know what that is but would it be possible to have a section that requires a password 
which changes every 1,2 or 3 months?

And the password is by request only? Call it what you want like
the active members forum, the contributors forum etc.

New software, patches etc would go into that section for those who
deserve it! Or we put all of those items in the selling box and when contacted by a contributor we give
them a break. That could even be a new rule, everything posted within the last 1 year of release MUST be posted in the selling box!
