Hi guys
I have some request about the DSG remapping when making a tune on vag engines
I would like to know if its mandatory or it depends of the tune and the engine?
As for example I always say to my customer that its not really necessary for stage 1 tune what do you think?

For a proper tune, its mandatory (in most cases torque limiter in TCU is lower than remap torqur target so it limits it)
BUT there are ways to avoid it like duration/nm2iq cheating
But i recommend proper remap and raising limiters in TCU

So I guess even for stg1 tune on diesel or petrol engine it's the same?
And is this possible with ktag or must do with kess and gear plug?

well either you are very lucky or you do only a few types of dsg.
most of them cannot read by obd, only with cable to dsg plug. others you have VR and most of times theres no file.

Exactly and this is the problem they ask for the tune and when you say this is extra cost they look surprised
