Replace CarProg MCU?

1
While attempting to solder a lead to pin 55 of my CarProg's MCU, pin 55 sheared off from the MCU. I am wondering if I need to purchase another CarProg from eBay or if I can just get another Amtel MCU. Any help would be appreciated.

My hope was that the Amtel MCU would be available for purchase for less than $35. Also, if I can find an Amtel MCU by itself, I don't have to spend time de-soldering the MCU, lifting pin 55 and re-soldering the MCU, I can just lift pin 55 and solder the MCU to my CarProg.

And in procces broke 2 more. Third one was ok. and still 2 left

Mcu came well packed in plastic housings and programed straight away with J-Link

get a dremel type tool and grind/sand the silicon very very carefully were the leg broke off, you will reveal some more of the leg under the silicon (dont go too far in, you just need a little edge to solder a wire to).

hope this helps

Brilliant! I was able to un-cover a small amount of pin 55 and I think I'll be able to re-solder the MCU and the lead off of pin 55 without issue.
