I have retrofitted my 2014 W212 from HU4.7 to an NTG5S1 COMAND unit. Most functions are working, but I still have a couple of issues.
The COMAND is not fully synchronized with the instrument cluster.
The reversing camera is not working.
First, I tried a reversing camera from a W205 C-Class, but it did not work at all. Then I tried a GLA camera with NTG5.1, but again nothing happened when selecting reverse.
Recently, I bought a B-Class camera (A2469052303) with W218 software. I changed the connector, installed the camera, and ran a new LVDS cable all the way to the trunk. This time there was some progress: when I engage reverse, the system enters the rear-view camera screen, but instead of displaying an image it shows the message:
"The reversing camera is not available."
RVC is already coded as installed in the HU.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue or knows what else I should check? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
