SOLVED Injectors blocked after working on motor.

1
Hi everyone.
Today I worked on a 2013 Opel Antara 2.2 cdti (I think it is a fiat motor)
I worked to replace intake manifold and to that I had to disconnect all cables from the injectors and other components on the motor, removed injector high pressure pipes and fuel rail but not the injector because they were not in the way to intake manifold.
After finished the job I started the car. It started and worked for about 10 sec and then the motor turned off by its self and didn't start anymore more.
Tried starting the car using some spray and with the spray it works.
All parameters on diag pc looks fine, high pressure etc.
Removed one injector and turned upside-down cranked the motor and I see no diesel comes out from injector.

Is that normal to happen that?
Is there any way to save the injectors?
The car worked fine beforebthe job...

Hi Aldi

That´s really strange. How much is the fuelpressure from the lower fuel pump and can you also see the high pressure ? Did you remove the wires from the Injektors ? normaly nothing should happen but anyway you can check if the Codes from each injektor ist still the same for each Cylinder.
You can read the injektorcodes with your diagnostic device and then look for the codes on your real injektors and look if they are also in the correct cylinder.
the probability is low but you can check that, to know it if something was changing.
im working in Opel, if i have time i will look in the chematics. Do you have a few data for me from your car ?

If are Delphi, very common issue on that kind of injectors. You must send to diesel test bench to unblock them.

Hi guys
Thank you for the reply.
The injectors were blocked because i had dismount the pipes an fuel rail.
Yes it is common for delphi injectors as @serigle06 says.
We sent them on a test bench to unblock and start the car.
After the car started it still was running bad and, for that we drove it on hi revs (up to 4k rpm) to create more fule pressure on rail to make them work as they should.
Just keep it in mind when work on injectors like that.

I spoke today with my companymember and he told me the same, that there is a problem with the injektors after you remove the fuelpipe, the injektors get " Blocket " And you only can solve it with starter spray and high rounds per minute when the engine is running.
I wantet to tell you, but now i see that you solve it Smile
