Also, this bare unit is the navigator txt red label (dont know if that makes any difference) but does not come with a usb security dongle. Is that something i could get a replacement of if so does anybody know the cost. Or did texa not use the usb dongles when the red label was in production?

the sentinel dongle is tied to your software installation which is tied to your unit serial. If you have a unit with no software/dongle then you need to contact your local distributor or diesellaptops.com. They will sell you a dongle + software if you provide your serial number (unless the serial number has been reported as stolen).
