Tuning Questions From A Beginner

1
Hey guys
As you know, the tuning and remapping solutions became really important these days.
So, recently I was trying to learn about this topic, in fact I don’t want to
learn how to tune the original files,  I just need to know how to extract the
files from the ECUs, to send them for some experienced people who can modify them as needed.

If anyone can help me in the following points I really will appreciate that.

First of all, I need some training material which could help me instead of spending
a lot of time on YouTube without any benefit for some times.

Also, i will focus on the following light vehicle brands as I currently working with
(KIA, Hyundai, Peugeot and Citroen), so I need for the best devices that could work with these vehicles.

In addition, I need to know if there is a real difference between the original device and the imitative one,
such as the devices that we can bring them from ebay for example.

Finally, if there is any professional who could modify the files as the following
(DPF OFF, EGR Removal, SCR Removal, DTC Removal), please let me know, we may have a good business nearly.

Thank you in advanced for your support

Hi there, personally i would recommend investing in a Kess V2,  and Ktag.   The kess tool will extract most maps from cars, Ktag should cover ones you cant get via OBD,  you would use Ktag and bench read
I supply Free Mod / Orig files  -- Also soon to supply vehicle software.

no difference at all! except one cost £5000 and the other cost £50 1087 Fing20

most, if not all, of the info you request is already available on here and the internet, they say time is money however without investing yourself into the R&D you wont fully learn otherwise

top tip, the best tuners are not on forums looking for customers, is my experience
good tuning is not free, free tuning is not good  Wink
i run garage but file service possible
Stage1/2 EGR DPF Adblue Swirl DTC etc

HI
You haven't said what models and years of car you are looking at,
This is important as newer cars will require newer tools, the cheap tools have old software in them so may not cover your cars
Also the cheap tools are unreliable and may damage the cars ecu, you may find sellers on here that offer rebuilt ones that will give better results, but again the software is the same older one as used by all the cheapest sellers.

For maps, and indeed information on the tool you need for that car I would suggest you look on here for LaytonAnthony - layton remaps
register on his site and use his services
I have used him myself and had very good results and his online advice is very good

Depending on what tool you buy will depend on what you need to do to read the vehicle
Come back when you have worked out what tool you want for more help on how to use it

My one bit of advice is you must buy a battery stabiliser - it is very important to keep the voltage correct when writing a map back to the car
If you have read a post by anyone on this forum and it helped
please leave thanks and reputation, the two buttons below it takes only 1 second
its especially important to new users to recieve and give Thanks James
