W210 220CDI Location Eprom immo ECU clone 0281010041

Am I correct in assuming that if I desolder the EPROM and resolder it into a used ECU, the immobilizer will function again—provided the data set in the flash memory is identical? Where on the circuit board can I find the EPROM responsible for the immobilizer?

You can try this, it should work, if not, post the eeprom dump for immo off.

Is a genuine "immo off" actually possible, given that the Mercedes features an electronic ignition switch? I have read that this requires a modification to the starter relay. Naturally, it would be ideal if there were an alternative method—specifically, if a modification to the EEPROM alone were sufficient to ensure everything functions correctly.

It's been a long time since I solved this and I don't remember the exact procedure, but if you try to flash the eeprom you will see immediately if it works.

What are you trying to accomplish here? Immo off is possible in flash in these.

Here are the flash and the EEPROM—perhaps someone could please help me out further?

Can the EEPROM be rewritten, or do you need a new one?
