I have a c3 multiplexer when I run quick test it shows exclamation marks on every control unit.it doesnt recognise the Vin of any car I have to enter the VIN manually.

Maybe checking your RS232 to RS485 adapter cable first , if your c3 is this type

Run CAESAR self test in SDnetControl and post results.
This should help show whether computer has proper communication to mux or not.
If computer has proper communication to mux, then problem is between mux and car.

Wiggle on the OBD plug while it’s connected to the car. I have seen the connectors being weaker over time and the pins don’t make a proper connection. You’ll also notice the green LED in your muxer will turn off and on as you move the connector.
Give it a try and report back.
