romHEX14 — Community Edition
Open-source ECU calibration hex editor — Windows / macOS / Linux
Version: 1.0.0-beta6 · License: GPL-3.0 · Account required: No · Cloud lock-in: None
Hey all,
Releasing the community / open-source build of romHEX14, a cross-platform ECU calibration hex editor I've been building. Everything runs local — no account, no telemetry, no phone-home.
► What it does
- Open ROMs, browse maps, edit cells with live 2D / 3D map view and waveform preview
- Patch creation + management (.rxpatch), full undo/redo, crash-recovery autosave
- Native project format (CBOR + BLAKE3 integrity checksums)
- A2L — full ASAP2 parser (characteristics, axes, measurements)
- HEX / BIN / S19 — auto-detection
- OLS project import — pulls ROM + map definitions straight out of WinOLS files (schema 479 incl., per-map byte order, CJK names)
- KP map pack — offset auto-detection
- Bosch — MED17, MG1, MD1, EDC17, EDC16, EDC15, ME7, ME9, MED9, MSV, MSD
- Continental — SIMOS 12/16/18/19/22, SID, SCG, SCM
- Delphi — DCM3.x, DCM6.x, DCU-10x
- Denso — multiple generations
- Magneti Marelli — MJD, 7GV / 8GMK
- Valeo — VD46
Pre-built binaries for Windows 10+ and macOS 12+ on the releases page. Linux (Ubuntu 22.04+) — build from source.
