MB C4 mux wireless auto-connector - Geka - 05-04-2017 I present to you an application made by ME,the "C4 workshop hotspot auto-connector".This program will solve your problem connecting with your mux wireless. With one click your mux will auto-connect with your laptop every single time. This program transforms your wifi into a hotspot so that the mux will auto-connect to that hotspot. Requirements for application: 1.Net Framework 4.0 ***Xentry auto-installs Net Framework during setup,so basically you got that covered*** OS compatibility: Tested on windows 7 ultimate 32bit and on windows 10 professional 32bit. It should work on all Operating Systems though but i didn't test it yet. Application compatibility with your laptop: In order for the application to work correctly, you should first check if your laptop's wifi adapter supports hosted networks. You can do that by opening CMD and run one simple command as shown in the picture below. After running the command search for the line that says "Hosted network supported :".If besides it says "Yes" then you are all good to use it.If it says "No" then all you need to do is replace your laptop's wifi adapter with a newer one that supports that function.See picture bellow for more information. [attachment=182418] Once you press "Activate" a new connection will appear(see picture bellow). [attachment=182419] Hotspot will be created and activated but it will take some time to establish(30 seconds more or less depending on laptop).Once the name of the new connection appears, "workshop" ,you are all good to go.Check picture below. [attachment=182420] ***Attention***:While hotspot is active, you might not be able to connect to internet through your wifi.If you can't connect to internet all you have to do is just press "Deactivate" and you will be able to connect to internet through your wifi again as shown in the picture below. [attachment=182421] If you don't know how to configure your C4 mux i have added a step-by-step guide in the program to help you with that. [attachment=182422] ***Attention***:Once you transfer your settings to your mux, unplug the lan cable, activate hotspot and wait for it to establish. Now,once hotspot is established don't forget to select again your mux from the taskbar at "Selection".Then it will connect to your laptop and at taskbar the connection style will change from "cable" to "wireless".Then you know that it's ready to use.You don't have to select it every single time, every time your mux boots will search for this specific hotspot and will connect to your laptop. Application has been uploaded on Mega for your convenience. Here is link:[attachment=182417] Once you download it,install it and at the first run it will need activation. It won't work on every laptop,it will only work on one.So on its first run it will show you a serial number.Post your serial number here and i will provide you with your license key.Once you insert it you won't need it again. So,have fun with your diagnoses!!! ![]() Thanks + Rep = Password ***Update*** A big thanks to eliservis for being the first person testing my program with an external wifi adapter(Brand+model of adapter : TP-link wn722n) Program has been confirmed working with external wifi adapters even though already having an internal wifi adapter that didn't support "Hosted network" function.Laptop was a Dell D630. Thanks for support and didn't know we had this tool,i need to learn using that search button in a better way. ![]() Was searching for one like that for a long time,so not finding one,i decided to make one for the fun of it to be honest.
RE: MB C4 mux wireless auto-connector - obdshop - 06-22-2017 this is great tool bt think is better if is for interial wifi RE: MB C4 mux wireless auto-connector - Geka - 06-23-2017 Works great for both internal and external wifi adapters. It's just that you have to be carefull not to move or unplug by accident the external one, especially when you are in the car,you don't want that to happen and lose connection. So it's better to say that it's safer to use it with an internal one. RE: MB C4 mux wireless auto-connector - obdshop - 06-23-2017 lol Need licence
