W212 colored cluster in W204 - Fuel and light switch not available - rabaukee - 08-20-2017 Hey guys,... got a problem I cant get behind easily so I better ask here. I put a W212 colored cluster into my W204 which had monochrome until then. It is all good after fitting the codings as good as possible to the old one. But I still got two serious problems here: 1) light switch does not seem to be regocnized (light is always on, even on switch off, and cluster is complaining light is on when leaving the car). 2) Fuel state does not seem to be read by cluster. There is no fuel information at all in the cluster... Any hint what exactly is effecting this? I pulled all the codings over manually from the monochrome cluster... ![]() Thanks you dudes!
RE: W212 colored cluster in W204 - Fuel and light switch not available - Powerpaul - 08-20-2017 Ask user "bjoern" he helped me out with this problem with same problem on my w204 cluster with facelift cluster retrofit. RE: W212 colored cluster in W204 - Fuel and light switch not available - rabaukee - 08-20-2017 Thanks. Any hint whats the cause? The cluster is missing messages from engine control unit and rear SAM. Updated rear SAM lately, so I doubt old SW on it is the cause (well it was 2012 database). I might have missed something while setting up the cluster,... It will likely only be a setup on the cluster to make it feel comfortable with the new compound of ecus... did not find it right away. Any help well appreciated. RE: W212 colored cluster in W204 - Fuel and light switch not available - Powerpaul - 08-20-2017 As I remember he told me it´s a bug in early 204 rearsam. But I don´t remember how to fix it correctly.. :-/ RE: W212 colored cluster in W204 - Fuel and light switch not available - rabaukee - 08-20-2017 That is a good hint. But how to fix a bug With SW update I guess...
RE: W212 colored cluster in W204 - Fuel and light switch not available - rabaukee - 08-20-2017 Fixed the fuel prob thanks to powerpaul... light switch problem still left... :-/ RE: W212 colored cluster in W204 - Fuel and light switch not available - MegaCar - 08-20-2017 (08-20-2017, 07:20 AM)rabaukee Wrote: Fixed the fuel prob thanks to powerpaul... light switch problem still left... :-/ Ho, Contact this guy http://mhhauto.com/User-Benzdriver23 Thanks RE: W212 colored cluster in W204 - Fuel and light switch not available - Bjoern - 08-21-2017 (08-20-2017, 01:23 AM)rabaukee Wrote: Hey guys,... There is more information needed. What CFF files are on cluster? Also put save of coding from the cluster here. RE: W212 colored cluster in W204 - Fuel and light switch not available - rabaukee - 08-21-2017 Here's the software currently running on it: Code: Sachnummer Version Lieferant Status geflasht durchDon't have the current parameters set available, will put it here later. Only the one when I bought hte cluster, but I already did some parameter changes according to the old cluster and to the needed setup here. Anyway, for the daylight problem (light always on) I suspect these parameters in VCD_06/VCD_07 to be responsible for it: Code: Tagfahrlicht motorlaufabhängig (Menu_Daylight_Running_light) vorhanden 03UZand/or Code: Fahrlicht (Daylight_FactDef) Dauer FFPFThanks for any hint guys. ![]() //EDIT: As the last two parameters are from VCD_07 and therefore user settings,... the daylight running "problem" is probably caused here. If so, it is not a problem, I was just to blind to see, so that would be "stupid me" But I will find out later.//EDIT2: Solved. As often the problem is sitting in front of the PC/Car. It was the drivers menue settings that kept the light on. For that fuel and daylight problem explained here I am ok now. Thanks. |
