Hello, just need some advice, i have a 2006 b6 passat with a DSG fault, i can get hold of a second hand mechatronic unit, but will the DSG need to be cloned? what tool would i need to do the job?

Put the second hand one in your car and make with diagnosis tester the new adaption!!!

As long as the gearbox codes are the same, just fit the box and that's it no coding needed

Thanks for the help guys, I forgot I asked the question still not got around to doing the job though, struggling getting a guaranteed working box.
