LAUNCH X-431 Porsche SGW unlock card - Neanicu - 06-06-2026
Has anyone use it? Can you unlock the security gateway module on newer models,2024 and up? I need it for something banal at the moment : writing the service interval,but it may serve for other things in the future.
For 899$ I need to know it works before purchasing,I appreciate any input.
Please do not tell me to use PIWIS 4,thank you.

I called Launch tech USA and that’s what they’ve suggested. But it sounds a bit fishy so I didn’t trust it fully…

As far as I know only VW Audi VAG can be done with scan tool Porsche haven't seen or found any yet, but I could be wrong maybe they have it for Porsche now

To be honest I think you are spot on! There’s nothing in writing that I found it’s specifically mentioned to be working on Porsche…it just says VAG.

Launch Europe GmbH certainly doesn't offer an SGW license for Porsche. And if Launch Europe doesn't offer it, then I don't know how Launch Tech USA could offer it?!

For Porsche SGW, I would check the exact model year and the Launch official coverage list first.
Some functions may require online access, valid subscription, or a specific SGW authorization/card depending on the vehicle and region.
Before buying the card, it is better to confirm:
- supported Porsche model and year
- required Launch device model
- active update subscription
- whether the function needs online access
- if the function is only for diagnostics or also coding/service reset
