Adaptation 1.9 TDi BKC with arl injectors and turbo

1
Hello, I'm trying to adapt my stock software to run 1749vb fron arl and al injectors from arl too. I attach what I've done, I have copied the maps from arl to mine and adapt torque maps taking in account tq2iq. I have modified pressure axis in torque limiter to be the same as in arl ori, but I'm not sure if this is ok, I have set iq limit by map to 60 as in arl ori but I'm not sure neither.

I have tried this and the car runs ok from 3000 rpm but in low rpms it doesn't run good, I mean it is slow. Could anybody help me? Thanks.

Did you swap your map sensor too?

No, I haven't. It's on its way, I ordered it a week ago.

I've just done this on a AUY 115 the map sensor is 3 bar instead of 2.5, the maf housing is 80mm and the intake piping is also larger on the 150, I replaced all this.

I ran into issues which I put down to the turbo, bad lag, and not reaching full boost.

Tried a smoke leak test, tried adjusting the stop screw and testing with group 11 ( could never get over 110mbar? ) shortened the actuator arm which helped a little, tried running off map and maf tune, deleted the egr and asv and pipes so the n75 runs directly from the T of the tandem pump to eliminate vac leaks, tried a 150 ecu with stock map, 130 ecu and the stock 115 ecu running 150 linearizations and all tuning maps duration ect.

I did upgrade to a front mount and 2.5" piping but I believe this has no role in bad turbo lag which in turns causes black smoke low down.

Let me know how you get on or if you run into any issues as we may be able to help each other.

I have also deleted my egr valve and cooler.

110mbar? You mean difference you get on basic setting group 11? 110mbar in that case is enough for sure. Maybe even too high indicating that your actuator arm is even too short or stop screw setting not correct. If your turbo is cheap rebuilt with chinese parts then there might be problem with vnt mechanism. Some of those never work no matter what adjustment you do.

it is a genuine garret but has 100% been rebuilt recently(says garret on housing but maybe Chinese parts used for rebuild ), it was from a 2005 leon FR from the junk yard, strange thing was the car they said was driven in, but seeing the car it seems strange why it was scrapped as it was a nice car, maybe it was the turbo issue.

Verify vaccum of system. Maybe you have a problem with turbo... Don't forget copy BIP maps from ARL map...

I bought a cheap vacuum pump but gave up on this turbo for now as I've adjusted it too much, got the car driving well enough (100 mbar off max boost and coming in later so some black smoke if I accelerate hard) till I can get a used untouched vb, do you med PID?

I tested my car with the 150 ecu with the stock 150 map off the same car I got the turbo from, are ecu's interchangeable? car seemed to run the same as the other ecu's, I have gone back to the 115 ecu but copied the 150 tuning maps, duration, soi, n75 ect, ect, ect, I also set both map and maf linearization, is that enough?

Finally got mine working well. Left SOI and Duration as in stock 105, also tried different n75 setups and the one that worked the best for me was 105 stock...
So I took turbo target, turbo limiter, torque limiter and smoke limiter (iq limit by maf) from arl. I think I don't forget anything.
