2021 Chevrolet Suburban Cluster and BCM setup problem.

1
Quote:Good evening friends.

I have a problem I am trying to fix now for 1 months and I cannot find solution.

I have 2021 chevrolet suburban. This vehicle was damaged by lightning strike. I replace all the modules OEM NEW dealer parts including BCM.

I program all modules with GM SPS2 software using AUTEL MAXIFLASH VCMI j2534 box (supports CAN FD). No issue with programming. Truck start run and drives great no problems.

When I go to BCM > SETUP to finish setup bcm and insert correct odometer reading I get "ECU could not be unlocked" error.

Truck shows dashes ------ on the screen instead of ori miles 23,321

I always get this error message. I called ACDELCO and I speak with them for a week and try everything and still get this problem.

I also have second suburban 21 model I replace BCM only to try and also try to do BCM setup and same problem on this suburban. programming works fine. setup I get error.

Do I have to buy MDI2 GM programming box ? Is there another solution ?

Any help with this problem I will give generous gift.

Cheers.

Hi, the 3 --- mean the odometer value stored in the IPC cluster and the BCM is different, with GDS2 can you read the IPC odo value 23321 ? , is the IPC replaced too ?

Did you road test the car for 2-3 minutes ? On Global B vehicle I believe there is no SPS menu to type in the odometer value like the previous model year
Any dtc set ?

I work too on a 2021 Tahoe hit by a strike and replaced the BCM , SGM, ECM ,TCM, and when we setup and SPS flash all those module we never got the usual SPS Odometer setup screen , when we start the vehicle the IPC has those 3 dash , we went for a road test and the IPC change to the correct mileage, let me believe that the ODO value is stored on multiple module and the highest value win and set into the BCM,IPC,+

I already road tested and dashes remain. Setup does not finish in BCM always error. Did you finish setup bcm ? Did you use Autel j2534 or which box ? did you use SPS2?

We use a GM MDI2, GM SPS online , as state I never saw the SPS window to input ODO value in BCM , only IMMO and KEYFOB
Do you have dtc set in any module ? is GDS2 can read ODO parameter in IPC and BCM ?
Maybe the BCM is now lock
