But with regards to those who respond to this post:
Mirnel has made me files and they have always gone well. Maybe they needed a fix or a retouch, but they always did it, free, solving problems.
looking at the result: the cars are traveling, the customers are happy, I have no problems, and they paid me.
A particular user here, made me a file. The file never went well, and I lost a customer and the time to open a ECU twice. So, before criticizing others' files, it would be better to do your own first.
I avoid saying the name because it doesn't seem right
Secondly, if a person relies on a tuner, he must have confidence in his way of working, otherwise he goes to another. Or, even better, he does it himself.
Regarding this file in particular:
I think we all know that if you ask in the driver they want 700Nm of torque, but the last column of NM to IQ stops at 450, you see in log 700, but in reality you're turning to the same IQ of 450.
The same goes for the Torque Limiter: you can ask 1000Nm, but if you don't have air in the MAF, pressure in the turbo, and everything else, the IQ will be much lower.
So everyone gets scared by the square torque curve, but in the end I'm pretty convinced that if you make a log you're not injecting a lot of fuel on low rpm.
I highlight one thing: I bought so many files, from many tuners, in this forum. Of those of Mirnel, I am satisfied, my clients are satisfied.
So it is true that we have to look at the theory, but the final result is also important.
If the user wants to avoid other controversies, he quickly do:
A log with RPM, real IQ, turbo pressure.
With real IQ, we look at how much torque from NM to IQ.
It's free.
Regards
I'm not ok with you on some point, about driver wish and torque limiters you are in true, but regarding about iq logged it can be false, this tune was decalibrated, so how you can log IQ ? diagnostic will show an iq but not the correct one because it's decalibrated.
Yes, duration is decalibrated.
But here there are a lot of scared people about "torque" ghost.
VCDS -> LOG -> RPM +IQ + TURBO.
10 minutes of work?
When we now real IQ al low rpm, we go on timing map and we calculate more or less how much he is injecting real.
I guarantee you that I have bought so many files here, from so many tuners. I guarantee that ALL decalibrate NM to IQ and Duration. For a simple reason: tuner is 2000km from the car, can't make log, and customer don't want to waste a day to log a car on street. Especially with some ecu that are hard to open. if there is some fucking SVTL or temp map that tuner don't found, that 5 or 7 or 10% permit to tuner to have some result.
I tell you a story. I hope you believe me
I live very close to a producer of one of the major chiptuning tools. It start from FG........
My friend goes to him with is VW GOLF 4, and paied 300€ for a chiptuning.
After 2 years, i read his file to check what tuner have done.. I always try to "stole" informations from someone that have 20 years more experience than me.
I found all duration map raised +250 point
Torque map +80%
turbo map +300mbar
I was scared, because i always read not to decalibrate timing map, ecc ecc. Theory tell me that my friends car had to blow.
Car go as hell, he bought it at 70.000km and sold it with 200.000km. Used as a pig, never heated, never cool down, always full gas.
He change oil every 35.000km, always runs with that ecu, and cars go well. Original clutch and gearbox from the first to the last day.
I'm not telling that it's the perfect way to do, i probably will never upload on my car that file
but it is not always necessary to just criticize others and be professors, all time. Sometimes is better to try a car even on the road and not behind the screen .
In the case of this Audi: multitronic hold 400nm of torque, declared from audi. That car have original 320nm of torque(i have a lot of doubts there are all that torque).
And when audi told that it hold 400nm, always keeps a little margin. 100nm real from a 2.0tdi stock with that file? I don't think
Perhaps the real reality is that it is easy to write on the posts "with that file you break everything" and then maybe via PM proposing to make another file to "take" the customer
