Hello guys! I have got a problem with chevrolet captiva abs. The car comes to our workshop with esp and abs lights on and dtc c0551-47 saying VIN its not coded. And this is correct because the vin coded have got 16 characters. I tried to code it with Launch like Antara and he coding ok but same dtc and only 16 characters on ecu info. Anyone coded this abs or know the way to do it? Thanks in advance!

I found the problem I think. The bcm of the car havent got the correct vin of the car. I think they replaced it in other workshop and this is the problem. Anyone know how we can change vin on bcm? I have got autel and launch, or maybe manually reading the eeprom? Anyone did this job? Thanks.

there is no vin rewrite function in autel for GM. you will either need to use tis2k, passthru with acdelco or eprom.

It may be possible in that year to just read the 93c66 from the BCM and edit the VIN.
