EGR delete

Hi guys i have an Astra 1.6 z16xe in the workshop at the moment with p0400 egr fault.
Now the technical service bulletins say to apply latest ECU software to remove EGR system which it does show on SPS.

My question is before i go ahead do i need the security code as the customer has no record of it ?

Its the first time ill be doing programming on my new tech2.

When you making Re-Programming (Updating S/W...) about the ECM =
= You DID NOT need the SC! (Security Code...)

Go ahead, and manage to have in the Car during the Re-Programming ALWAYS External Power Supply in the Battery!
