Smart 450 Ecu key programming

Hi....sorry if already been covered. Got a 450 with replaced donor engine ecu and wanting to programme into car. I think all I need to do is relearn the keys again. Have xentry and das........

Is this all I need and procedure please?

First thing you will need TAN code generator. I believe there are two on this forum available for free.

Also if you are using recent Xentry/DAS, (I think after 2012), you need to find the patch to allow the old style TAN codes to work - the patch I think is just older version of csdsmart.dll which is also available on this forum for free if you search.

This will work for Smart cars that work in DAS, but not for newer Smart's that need Xentry.

If you have old ECU, just clone the flash in the ECUs, it's probably 28f400 or 29f400 flash

keys not store in flash store in eeprom!!! 24c02 in meg

best option is recode keys with xentry,

go to meg unit ,and in adpatations menu, go to key learm and run instructions

Thanks to everyone.

You were all correct. I downloaded a patch from here and copied it into F-DAS-SMART and this elimininated the request code. Then just follow on screen instructions in MEG to learn immobiliser again.
