Smart 451 paddle shif coding - tviper - 06-13-2026

Hello, I'm new here,

My situation is as follows:

I have a 451 with softshift and manual mode. I bought a steering wheel with paddle shifters (I already modified the wiring under the steering wheel, checking the correct ohms and cable positions; I saw how to do it on Evilution) and I would like to activate and program the steering wheel.

I've been researching your posts and found Expat_Mat's post (https://mhhauto.com/Thread-Smart-451-Paddleshift-activation) to activate it via Vediamo (since I couldn't do it through Xentry).

I read and reread the PDF and tried to follow it, but I'm a novice in this area. I managed to access the described menus, but I don't know how to proceed.

1. I want to activate the paddles.

2. I want to program the initial sequence: F2 242 Softouch – Paddles – Automatic at start

For me, it's enough that the paddles are working to see if they are functional.

Thank you in advance for your availability, and I would appreciate any help.
