ME17.8.5 with PCMflash - cdhse - 06-14-2026

Hi,

im trying to read / ident a ME17.8.5 from BRP / ROTAX with clone PCMflash1.2.0 and clone SM2 Pro

Selected [71] MEDC17 TC1762.... EEPROM but never got an result. Allways "Failure"

Any ideas? Connection is correct, and cable also.

Maybe bench cable not good. I always use godiag gpt cable. Cheap and reliable, connects to obd from sm2

Hi checked with this pinout:

DB25
23 -> GPT1
4  -> GPT2
8 -> CAN-H
9 -> CAN-L

I use L-Line for power switching. Checked with volt meter and it switch.

A little confusing is, that the Module 71 Pinout just says "GPT" and refer 2 pin, no GPT1/2 but i tried both GPT and even same GPT on 2 pins.

GPT1 and 2 must be 2 pins, and they are interchangable.

Yes, tested both ways for GPT. But no luck.
