GM TIS2000

37
You can use your MDI with TIS2000. You just setup the MDI in the TIS software as a J2534 device. I used this setup and it works great for reflashing.

Do I just swap J2534 programming for MDI drivers?
Or do I have no choice but to purchase a tech 2 for 2008 & down?????
And Just pay the subscription fee for tis2web???
MDI will not do all vehicle systems attached is a list of what MDI can not do thru Tech2Win. Since it can not do all that a Tech2 can do, looks like you will need to get one, a Tech2 that is. I'm not sure if you will be able to get an MDI to work with TIS 2000 since I do not have one hopefully someone else will comment regarding this possibility.
